US citizen needs UK visa?

Greetings! I am 20 year old U.S. citizen and I would like to go to the U.K. just to work. I looked at all the tiers and even though I can go the student route I don't want too because you can only work 20 hours a week and for the work visa i've been reading that I need a sponsor before I even get there.Finding an American company that will transfer me is not likely because I don't have a career yet/I cant apply for a highly skilled worker. Is it possible for me just to go to the U.K. and find work without the visa? what are my options???

Which gas is better: Hess or 7-Eleven?

I normally use Hess in my truck (2001 Dodge Ram) but I started reading how Hess isn't too good for your engine (it's apparently cheap stuff that causes problems). Is any of that true, and is 7-Eleven better? I looked at the list of the top tier gas stations, but most of those aren't in my state/local/etc. or they are very highly priced (like Chevron tends to be 15+ cents higher per gallon...). Should a young teenage girl sing tenor?

I am a thirteen year-old girl, going into 8th grade, wanting to know if singing tenor at this age could permanently damage my vocal chords. I have tried researching many places, but they all seem to say many different things. Some say that it's okay if it comes naturally. Others say that it will ruin my vocal chords forever. I really don't want my vocal chords to me ruined; I love singing, in fact I want to be a choir director after my education. However, singing alto in my school choir hurts my voice a lot. It's not just annoying, it hurts a LOT! I've tried exercises, like octave stretches and I've tried sucking it up, but I fear the hurting would damage my vocal chords as well. My choir director at church says it's no problem, and that it's very interesting. My other director at school says it would damage my vocal chords and that I should wait until I'm in high school (9th grade) to sing that low since it's not healthy for a girl my age to sing tenor. Yet again, I've begged him since I was in sixth grade, but he still doesn't think it's a great idea. I want to agree with him since he's by far the most wise and intelligent person I've ever met, but I don't think it would be that bad, because it isn't like it is being forced. I don't have the money or time to see a "professional" and figure out where my breaks are and etc. I don't want to ruin my vocal chords, because I love singing more than almost anything else, but if singing alto were to hurt my voice, that would also be bad... so I was curious if anyone out there would know anything about the matter. This is extremely biased since I'm a student there, but Georgia Tech is not a bad place to look. They're top 10 in most disciplines, have an excellent reputation, and are relatively "cheap". My personal advice is that you're likely to get a great education anywhere you go so choose a school that makes you happy because you'll get a lot more out of the college experience. Just be prepared to work really hard wherever you go.

Where can I get a good-but-not-too-expensive Tenor Saxophone?

I've been involved in music, literally, all my life. I consider myself a fairly talented musician partly because every member of my family plays an instrument. All my activities I participate in relate somehow to music. So, as I see it, I'd like a good tenor sax that isn't wildly expensive because I figure that, with practice, I'll get used to the instrument and wouldn't want to have bought one that wears out quickly. Low notes on saxophone sound weird?

Clean out your sax and get a fresh reed. If your reed is damaged in some way it can greatly affect the sound quality of your instrument. Also, an easy way to find out if it's you or the saxophone is to have a friend try to play those same notes and see how it sounds. Good luck!

Since they're advertising a $300 sax as a Professional Model, and not even telling you what brand it is, I'm going to say they're full of BS. If you're buying on-line, at LEAST make sure it's a reputable sax brand (Selmer, Yamaha, Keilwerth, Yanagisawa, etc.). It's always best to even be able to play a sax before you buy it to make sure it's a good sax, so ideally you don't want to purchase on-line. Your best bet would be to look around locally for a used Selmer or Yamaha beginner sax. Tenors of this type often run around $500, but if you're lucky you could find one cheaper, or if you're not set on tenor altos tend to run closer to $300. Just make absolutely sure it's the sax you want before you buy.

How to choose between fraternities?

I recently received bids from two fraternities (not saying which ones to avoid biased people) A and B. What should I look for the most when choosing between the two? I am going to be a Sophomore Business/Comp science major this year and both A and B are full so I don't need to live in either house. Fraternity A just started back up so it is mostly Sophomores at the moment. B started back up a few years earlier but has Seniors and Juniors. On the social and athletic tiers they are about the same with B having better GPA. The cost to join both is the same, but A has an official house while B has an unofficial house that is an apartment complex but both are by each other. I went to parties at both and got along great with both houses of guys. Both have decent alumni, have 50 or so actives, and cost about the same to belong to. Are there any other factors I should consider? Neither are on probation so it basically comes down to A having an official house, being younger overall, and newer versus B being more mature, more well known to sororities, and a better GPA.

Tiers have been quite controversial in gaming. But the place I've seen "tier discrimination" the most is in the Super Smash Bros, series. Whenever I go to a Brawl tournament, all I see is a bunch of Meta Knights flying everywhere. A couples of years back, I went to a Melee tournament. And all I saw was a bunch of foxes jumping around. I recently purchased a new car and financed at 1.9% ($22,000) for 48 months. I have enough savings that I would be able to pay for the car completely (no cash incentives offered), but am Tier 2 credit rated (not enough large loan amounts supposedly), so would like to build my credit somewhat more in the wake of applying for a mortgage in the near future. Saxophones low notes?

I would most likely say that a key isn't closing properly. If you can hit the notes on another sax and before you dropped it, it's probably something is misaligned keeping something from closing all the way. Go back to where it was fixed, and tell them exactly which notes aren't sounding properly, and they'll have a better feel for exactly where the problem is and then they will be able to identify and repair it. If you mention you just had it fixed, but the issue wasn't completely resolved, they might even do it for free.

Well today I came home with a report card of all A's but one C+. My mom completely flipped out! Its for algebra though... I'm in 7th grade and Algebra is a high school class! My teacher is the worst. I'll be moving to Austin in September. I've visited there a few times after getting out of college here in Boston. I did some traveling to decide which would be the best place to settle in. There were only a handful of states I didn't go to. hm. so I'm 16, I'm a tenor and I can sing up to about an E comfortably. I would like to be able to sing a bit higher. How can I accomplish this? Does it have anything to do with blending falsetto or head voice with chest voice and whatnot? If so, how do I do this? I know some people say you have to wait till you mature, but I have a friend who used to have the same range as I do, but now he's up to an A. Uncharted is overrated!?

Uncharted is one of the most overrated series ever. I have a ps3 and have played both uncharted (including the uncharted 3 beta). I don't understand what all the hype is all about. It is exactly like tomb raider and the shooting is not better than any other third person shooter. Another point is the graphics are not the best anymore copared to Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Battlefield 3. There are other games that are better such as Gears of War 3 and Red dead redemption. The story isn't as good as heavy rain or Assassin's Creed. So it is not even that great.

Selmer is a very old instrument maker have a lot of prestige among musicians. Just like expensive cars its half quality, half the name. In my opinion they are indeed great horns because they used a finer quality of bronze in the alloy that creates the instrument. As the saying goes "they don't make them like they used to." Is very true for any brass instrument. However paying over $20,000 for one is kinda outrageous unless it is completely flawless and decked out and ready to play with a premium mouthpiece.

Why does my new dualshock 3 controller keep turning on my ps3 automatically?

you should be fine i brought a cat home from my parents after it had been fed grocery store food for like 4 years, and switched her to the innova as well she LOVES it although hated the soft food at first. they will likely eat less because it is more nourishing so it fills them up faster just follow the directions on the package for their age/weight group and they'll be fine. They'll see you as someone who flaked (and pretty badly) during college. However, if you're able to pick yourself up and get good grades and a stellar GMAT score, they'll recognize that also. A second-tier in DC is a definite stretch right now, but several years of taking classes to up your GPA will definitely help. And do lots of leadership and/or extracurriculars that are business-related. The admissions committee will want to know (and guarantee) that you won't come to their school and just get F's and W's again.

I think that anyone entering into another country to live, should try to adopt same cultures as that country. There seems to be a lot of people coming into this country unwilling to learn the English language, I am upset by this because I am now forced to learn a different language to keep my job. try playing aion. its pretty good. graphics are awesome. scenery is amazing. gear is very, very realistic-looking (far better than wow's gear) char creations are also far better than wow; realistic and awesome-looking (you can make your toon look totally different from everyone else. my toon has this gigantic super big head, is major tall and extremely skinny. she looks so laughable and i get funny comments on her all the time. i love her). leveling is hard and challenging. same price as wow and should be a nice change of pace for you. or you can keep playing wow and just get in another guild with a better gm. both games are very good to play so either way you win. :) good luck

I am trying to create a excel workbook that has 3 sheets. The first sheet has a multiple players name and a button next to each name. The second sheet has buttons such as 2 points, or rebound, that when you click on them will add 1 to the third sheet which is there actual stats. The third sheet contains a database that has columns of name, points, rebounds. I want the first macro on the first sheet next to name to take you to the second sheet which you will then choose a category. It uses the variable name to then insert the data on the third sheet in the correct row. What would be the macro to search the third sheet until it finds the row that has the right name and then adds the data?

I agree, I've played tenor sax for four years and if you don't put corn grease on the cork frequently, the cork may break or crumble. The spit just happens naturally, so just wipe it off with a microfiber cloth. That should fix your problem. Good luck!

So I sent them through USPS in a small envelope (I know, I shouldn't have, but I did it before reading you shouldn't and should rather use a menela padded envelope as these are hand sorted) and my ex boss said he received an empty envelope (did not state how the envelope was) and also said if he has to change the locks he has to change 100 at $8.00 each. I believe if you practice and really learn how your voice works you will be able to hit higher notes that you initially thought you would have. Hey, so I've played piano for about 5 years now, I can sight read violin (played for 8 years) like a beast, and can sight-read tenor part like a beast. Haha, not bragging... just saying I've got that down. Anywho, in piano, I feel like I've gotten rather good at emotion and all that jazz, but I feel like the only thing holding me back is my sight reading in piano! Putting both of the clefs together! It takes me a while to learn a piece, and most of the time I just memorize the part and practice it over and over till it's ingrained in the early stages. I would like to be able to just play through music! My teacher said you just have to literally do that--just run through music. Can anyone add to this? Holland America or Princess? How do they compare to Carnival?

Cabins are not that much smaller with Princess than with any other cruise lines. In fact, I would bet you would not notice them smaller at all. Princess Buffet does not suck. They have a wide range of food. The only things is the buffet does get crowded, so that is why I almost always eat in the dinning room. In the MDR, I find the food excellent. Princess also has far less old people then Holland America. Holland America is about 85% people over the age of 60. I have been sailing with Princess for years now and think they are top notch. BTW, Princess decor is much more classier then Carnival with a lot less gaudy color schemes.

Runner's addiction symptoms? Really odd?

I get pains in my arms and chest when I am due for a run. I allow myself to run once every 3 days and by the third day the pain starts and I get headaches. I also get sluggish and moody. While running, the endorphins kick in and I can feel the pain go away. After I run, I feel awesome. Has anyone ever heard of such strong physical withdrawal symptoms from running? It's like being addicted to drugs for me. I've never done drugs, but I imagine this is what it is like.

Replacement for a cookie tin in a cookie tin banjo?

I've wanted to build a cookie tin tenor banjo for a while ( for those of you who don't know what it is its a homemade banjo with like a christmas cookie tin for a body) only problem is I can't find any cookie tins anywhere. Is there anything I can use as a replacement? Or alternate materials? I don't have the equipment to make one from wood and buying a tenor banjo isn't exactly a viable option either.

I need help with graduate school information!?

I'm going to enter my fourth (and final) year in university majoring in Business Administration with an option in Finance. I am planning on applying to graduate schools in October/November for my Master of Finance degree, so I can get a finance-oriented job. However, there aren't many schools in the U.S (apart from Ivy League and Tier 1 schools) that have a Master of Finance degree? My university's business school is in the Top-45 in the country, however the school as a whole is pretty mediocre, meaning it will be really hard for me to get into those top level schools. I have two study abroads on my transcript for Spring 2011 and Summer 2011, but I don't know how far that will get me. I have also been researching business schools in the UK and Ireland and they seem to have a lot more Master of Finance programs than the US. My question is would it be more sensible for me to do my degree in the US or go abroad, once again, and get my M.Fin from an AACSB-accredited graduate school?

What birth control pill will help ovarian cysts?

I went to the hospital because I keep getting ovarian cysts and they told me to get birth control. When I went to the gynecologist the nurse and doctor were actually pretty mean to me and they thought I just wanted birth control for sex and didn't listen to anything I had to say about the cysts. They just gave me a three month sample of Loestrin. I believe it worked at first, but now I'm on the third month and I'm pretty sure I have another cysts. What brand of birth control will help stop these?

voice type is more about tone than voice range. you're probably a baritone, tenor, or maybe in between. when you sing the F2, is it actually clear, or is it airy, raspy, and quiet? because if you're struggling to hit that F, you can almost guarantee you're not a bass, maybe even baritone. when you sing the B (which would be B5) does it actually sound clear or does it sound pinched and forced unless you're using falsetto? there are a lot of uncertainties without actually hearing your voice, and if you want a more definitive answer, you should ask a voice teacher.

I've been reading up on the pregnacare tablets and the reviews where good, so i bought some, well normally my period is 31-33 day cycle, my last period was 23rd may, yesterday when i wiped there was a tiny bit of blood, but since that nothing! lately ive been tiered all the time, and feeling sickly, im going to take a test tomorrow, fingers crossed i am pregnant! ...has anyone else had this while taking pregnacare tablets?

I have a spa attached to my swimming pool. In the middle of the spa there is a fountain head.?

I recently purchased a polaris 3 tier fountain head to put on the top of the shaft coming up from the middle of my spa. The old one broke over a year ago and I never replaced it. Anyways, I have turned the spa on, the air blower, and opened the two air valves on top of my spa but I cannot get any water to come up and out of the fountain head. Does anyone know how to get the fountain head to begin spraying water-----what needs to be turned on, to wit: spa, filter, air blower, etc.........Thanks.

I'm trying to lose weight but...?

I'm 16 years old and 5'6 too. I started out 133 lbs. In March I started exercising using the Wii Fit (I set a goal to burn 145 calories a day) and doing other exercises. I now weigh 118 lbs. The key is eating 3 healthy meals and ONLY eating when your stomach growls and your body tells you it's hungry. Sometimes when your stomach growl, you're just thirsty too. Try getting a glass of water before eating a full meal. Don't snack or eat junk food or soda. Never skip meals. If you discipline yourself and have a routine of working out and eating healthy, it'd be hard to be a size 5 by August, but set your goal at maybe October and you'll do great. Hope this helps!

Question about ammonia and bleach exposure?

A few days ago my toilet wouldnt flush...I then realized that a plastic spoon had fallen in...process of elimination as to what was on top of the toilet I knew that was what was blocking it...tried plunging again and again and again...tried using a coat hanger to snag it...no dice...so today I figured I'd clean it before sticking my hand in the toilet...I grabbed bleach and poured some in...first mistake...second mistake was I didnt dilute it...third mistake I didnt think of the reaction between urine (ammonia) and bleach...anyways I continued scrubbing when one of my nostrils started stinging not burning...immediately I opened the window and left the bathroom--got a fan and had it pointing towards the window...I was only in the bathroom for about 3-4 minutes before I left to get fresh air...for about 5-10 minutes I had the smell of bleach in my nose...about an hour after everything was back to normal no scent no stinging...also I didnt have any coughing or wheezing...am I at any risk? I called posion control they said I should be fine but I have panic disorder and sometimes I tend to refuse that everything is A-okay...I would think I didnt have enough exposure to it to cause long term damage...especially since I felt fine relatively fast proceeding the incident...about 4 hours after I returned to the bathroom and the smell/potency was gone...flushed the toilet and the damn thing flushed fine...I guess the plastic spoon got dissolved or broke and it passed through? Once again any insight on to if I can stop worrying about pulmonary edema or anything like that would be greatly appreciated...thank you if you reply. BTW there wasnt much urine in the bowl...most had drained only maybe one cup remained...a measurement cup that is...

If you want to wear a floral shirt make sure that theres only flowers in part of the shirt like the top or bottom or the top right or left corner, and the rest is all plaid or with one single patters. It's instinct it allows you to quickly fight back or flee and run in an instant. Don't worry! I get a thrill off of that feeling, I love it! So I ride roller coasters and go sky-diving so I get that feeling over and over! It's good, not bad! The way to get rid of it is just go for it! Go talk to her, it goes away the second you open your mouth to say something!

Should i dye my hair?......?

My real hair is goldin blond hair and when i was in 6 grade i dyed it dark auburn and i loved it and then i got blond high lights in my hair and it ended up trunin a lighter red that i didnt like so i decided to go back blond in 8th grade and now it's been blond and i also started 2 toning it with blond on top and dark purplesh brown color and it looks really really good and everyone likes it but i've been doing it for 2 years now and i'm thinking about tryin something new or dyein it back dark auburn or dye my hair the dark purple. I have greensh yellow eyes that ppl say look like cat eyes and they are striking and i know blond hair and green eyes look good and when i do the dark purple under it makes my eyes pop more. I'll be 21 this year and i'm marryed so i also have to run what color i want to do my hair by my hubby and he said he likes it being 2 tone. but i'm getting tiered of it. SO....should i dye my hair or keep it 2 tone?

im 14 and a tenor and can sing quiet high from my head voice but i can sing this rely high scale higher when i breathe in and make my mouth into a O shape it sounds like something off a opera thing or something its really high and when i sing like it its a really high high note like a mezzo soprano note all tho its not really my chest or head voice but i feel i have to breathe to do it sometimes but even so my voice is breaking still???

So we were outside and we were doing some rally in my toyota 1985 celica GT and well we stalled a few times. And the driver tried to take off on third gear. But the car obviously turned off. When my Mother passed away a young Catholic priest came into her hospital room and asked us her family if he could pray for her. We said of course. He prayed and made the mark of the cross on her forehead and then kissed her forehead and sang a song in a beautiful tenor voice. It was very moving, especially at such a heavy time of mourning for all of us. Since then I have wondered if he gave her absolution. And indeed is it even possible for a priest to give a protestant last rites and absolution? How to be better at playing a tenor saxohpone?

I myself am i flute player and i used to play clarinet and my teacher always says stuff about saxophone. He says if your playing and its not sounding right try blowing a little less hard or even if thats not the case your reed might be dry. He says before you do anything you take out your reed and soak it as much as possible. He tells the oboe to keep his reed in a reed case with water in it and lol believe me it works lol. but yeah i hope this helps to recap; soak your reed and blow softer... and mabey try blowing down? i hope i helped :)

Is the third eye bad in Hinduism?

I recently started studying Hinduism and I learned of a few things . One thing however, the third eye. I am psychic and very sensitive to climate/people's feelings etc. and it all started when I turned 13;it came out more because I was facing depression and also, I had what they call near death experiences I stopped breathing in my sleep for almost three hours one night and I saw what is after death. A peaceful darkness. I have visions in dreams and I can feel the outcome of things as well. I am really mature to be 16 everyone always tells me and always has. I have the feel of an old soul I guess you could say. I have a mole in the middle of my forehead but it's more to the right than just SMACK in the middle of my forehead, I noticed it about last year when I was 15. I don't think it was always there. They say that a mole in the middle of the forehead is the eye of Shiva but I was reading and they make it seem like it's a bad thing to have on the site i read ? They said it's why the Indians wear the purgee on their forehead and the dot to keep it closed. Is third eye really bad?(I also know the eye of Shiva is Buddhism)
