Can i use shish kabobs sticks to support a 3 tiered cake?

Okay so im making a cake and i just notice that im out of support dowels and im unable to go to the store at this time. So im searching my kitchen to se what i can use and i come across some shishkabobs sticks. Will these work as support for my cake??
